"You should have learned a profession...". In the western world a much used phrase, but not very common in Tanzania. And specifically in this country, where Calandiva cuttings come from, the educational conditions for children are very poor. It’s time to make a change! Later this year a group of Kalanchoe growers will travel to Tanzania to hand over the money to the local operating Watoto Foundation. This foundation takes care of better living conditions and a proper education for the children.

Last week, Calandiva was promoted for Mother’s Day in the Landgard establishment Wuppertal. And, this wasn’t the first successful presentation. In Germany, Calandiva is beloved as well. Gaertnerei Köllen produces and supplies his Calandiva varieties in Germany. The last months, Calandiva is prominently put in the spotlight at Landgard cash and carry’s.

Lots of florists were inspired by beautiful, attractive presentations of Calandiva, used in different theme’s. There was an Easter theme, where the Diva was exposed her multi colouring. During the Mother’s Day presentation a great impression was shown. The value of the flowering pride and keepability of Calandiva, with her bright colours, were specifically emphasized. The colour red for Mother’s Day was specifically emphasized. After this sales promotion, sales really increased. The florists were very enthusiastic about the given inspiration and they recognized the value of the plant.

Throughout the year 2011, Calandiva proved to be the number 1 in decorative Kalanchoe! During this week’s Trade Fair Naaldwijk you can experience that yourself in 2012 as well. Also Calandiva was there, presented by growers Zuydgeest De Lier (number 9,.2), Kwekerij De Veranda (18.18) and ‘s-Gravenhof (13.4).

Also this year, Calandiva proves to be the number 1 decorative Kalanchoe. And this already for 10 years! Of course, we will celebrate this at different times. We will reveal the exact nature of these celebrations and the opportunities these will hold for you later this year!

From Wednesday 22 February and the upcoming weeks, Calandiva® is remarkably promoted in cash and carrys of Landgard in Chemnitz. Also there, she shows the visitors she’s the number one decorative Kalanchoe! Not just in the market, but also in the essential values of this product. Landgard is a large organization in the German market (especially in the south) and in Austria. There, Calandiva is widely sold. In order to give her extra attention, the diva is promoted by beautiful arrangements. Hereby, the promotion booth of Calandiva and grower Köllen in the c&c attracts the attention. Visitors are visibly impressed by the presentation and become really interested in the product. The beautiful, full Calandiva booth shows the most colours of the Diva, including special, unique tints. This presentation was made possible thanks to the excellent product quality delivered by grower Köllen. Previously, this presentation has been used successfully in Vienna.
